Peace now! (3917 bytes)

July 12 and 13

Fifth and sixth nights were spent just outside of Cork in Black Pool.  From here we visited Blarney Castle and Cove.  We, along with thousands of other tourists, climbed to the top of the castle and kissed the  Blarney Stone.  Legend has it that if you kiss the stone you will be blessed with the gift of eloquence.

Cove was a port of embarkation to the new world for thousand of emigrants leaving Ireland.  They went to Australia, Canada, the USA and South America from here.

Located on the outskirts of Cork, Bridge House was a  warm and friendly place to stay.  Dennis and Sheila made us feel like family.  Dennis got us the Ocean Free software that made it possible for us to dial up more regularly  and update the web site.
